This course covers Medieval and Early Modern Times by examining the social, cultural, and technological changes during the period A.D. 500-1789 (the birth of the United States). We will review how archaeologists and historians uncover the past and then we explore the 11 units laid out by the California state standards for History-Social Science (HSS) for 7th grade. While we study the 11 HSS, we incorporate the 7th grade Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) standards for California.
